The overall experience was outstanding, especially being close to attractions like the Folkestone Harbour Arm. The Superior Queen Room was spacious and thoughtfully equipped with lovely amenities, allowing us to feel right at home. Breakfast offered an incredible variety that kept us energised for our adventures. One of my highlights was enjoying a homemade lemon drizzle cake in the evenings, which felt like a special touch that added warmth to our stay.

gorgeous property, spacious Superior Queen Room, lovely personal touches
Although the house looks great, the wetroom shower needs better water pressure!!! a little more attention to the choice of homemade snacks during evening tea would elevate the experience even further!!!

We stayed for a night and the breakfast was sweet as, heaps of choice! But the WiFi was a bit dodgy at times. Loved the spacious room though!

my partner and i recently celebrated our anniversary at matlock house bed & breakfast, and it truly exceeded our expectations. the room was spacious and beautifully decorated, making us feel right at home. breakfast was fantastic, freshly made and delicious, creating a memorable start to our day!

The Deluxe King Room was spacious and beautifully decorated, completely making us feel at home during our stay. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring a variety of freshly made options that set a delightful tone for the day ahead.
While the room was impressive, the shower's water pressure could definitely use some improvement—felt a bit weak. the lighting in the room was on the dim side, which made it less inviting during the evenings and could easily be better. A few more evening snacks would really enhance the overall experience, too.

Super cozy spot with top-notch breakfast
Had an awesome stay! The room was huge and gave off a stylish vibe. The big window let in loads of natural light. Breakfast was a treat – freshly cooked and delicious! The only thing was the shower pressure could use a boost. Loved chilling in the beautiful garden during the afternoon too!
